Dip Powder Benefits
Dip powder gives you strong, chip-resistant nails that stay flawless for weeks—with minimal effort. It’s a game-changer for anyone wanting durability without the drama. Compared to acrylics or gel, dip is often easier to apply, making it a fave among home users. No UV lamp? No problem. Dip powder dries fast, no special equipment needed.
It’s also beginner-friendly and budget-conscious. Getting started costs less than investing in a full acrylic or gel setup, but the finished look? Salon-worthy.
How to Use Dip Powder Like a Pro
The “pour” in SlickPour comes from the technique—using a scoop or spoon (such as our double-sided pouring spoon) to gently pour powder over the nail. It keeps the application smooth, waste low, and everything nice and sanitary.
Here’s the simple 4-step system:
-
Prep – Start with clean, prepped nails: push back cuticles, lightly file the surface, and cleanse with Swipe to remove oils and debris. Brush on one coat of Step 1 Prep to ensure a clean, dry surface for the best adhesion.
-
Base – Apply a thin coat of Base (this is your adhesive layer).
-
Powder – While the Base is still wet, pour powder over the nail and tap off excess. Repeat on all 10 nails. This will give the first coat time to start setting.
-
Repeat – Apply a second coat of Base and powder for full, even coverage.
-
Activator – This locks in the color and finishes the curing process.
-
Shape & Smooth – File and buff to perfection.
-
Top – Cleanse with Swipe and apply one coat of Activator to the filed nail. Use a lint-free wipe to remove excess activator. Apply two coats of Top, wiping your brush on a clean lint-free wipe between nails., wiping your brush between nails. Five minutes later, you're done—no UV light needed.
